Sunday, January 9, 2022 will be remembered by anime fans as the date of the return of Shingeki no Kyojin with part 2 of its final season and the collapse they generated in the streaming service Crunchyroll. After several inconveniences on the platform, the first episode is now available for Premium users, but there are already doubts about how the end of the story will be.

Social networks echoed the expected launch of the reunion between Eren and Reiner, with Marley’s troops arriving on Paradise Island with their airships to start a new war for the recovery of the founding titan. The situation is not favorable for the young Jaeger due to the great fall of his soldiers, while Hange ran away with a Levi badly injured after exploding next to Zeke, who managed to recover.

When the first part of the final installment arrived in December 2020, many followers assured that it was impossible for the 16 announced episodes to cover the entire manga, which until then was not finished. In June of the following year, the long-awaited volume 34 arrived with the closing of the story and they confirmed that part 2 of the anime would have only 12 chapters, so that generated more uncertainty if it will actually culminate as a series.

The last of the anime released in March 2021 was based on chapters 115 and 116 of the manga, but in total it has 140, so there are more than 20 that should be adapted in the 12 announced episodes. Some fans believe that the show will not cover the remainder of the plot and the fate of the end of Shingeki no Kyojin will be on the big screen with a movie.

Certainly, In recent weeks, rumors have emerged on social networks that confirm that it will culminate in a film, but so far it has not been made official and if so they will confirm it in the last episode of the anime. It is clear that productions are not always one hundred percent faithful to the material from which they are based, but when talking about Shingeki no Kyojin, one of the great events of the genre in recent decades, they would like to do it in the best way.
