About Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)
Attacks on Titan is a manga written and illustrated by the Japanese Hajime Isayama. It began its publication in 2009 and ended in April 2021, with 139 chapters. The work was adapted into an anime by the Wit Studio in 2013. Wit was in charge of the first three seasons (the last one divided into two parts), and the anime is currently being directed by MAPPA, the studio that is in charge. of the last season (also divided into two parts) and of the subsequent film that will close the story of Eren, Armin and Mikasa.

Shingeki no Kyojin is set in a setting where humanity has been almost annihilated by giants called titans. The little that remains of humanity lives after a few walls built to prevent the passage of the titans, since they feed on human beings.
Humanity had not received any attack from the titans for more than 100 years until one day the city walls are destroyed by the colossal titan and Eren and Mikasa witness their mother being eaten by one of them.

Shingeki on Nintendo Switch: AOT 2 (Attack on Titan 2)
AOT 2 is an action game developed by Omega Force and distributed by koei-tecmo. It was released in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PS Vita (the latter only in Japan).
AOT 2 recreates the story of Eren, Armin and Mikasa for freeing humanity from the fight against the titans, its story mode narrates the beginning of the anime until the second season. In addition, it has a multiplayer mode and more than 30 playable characters.
The game allows you create and customize your own character, who will also be the commander of a division.
Attack On Titan 2 features two modes main:
- The history mode It recreates the initial story of the anime until the second season, but from the point of view of the character that we have created and customized. The cinematics are the same as the anime, but this time seen in first person.
- The hell modeis the story mode but with more difficulty.
There is also another mode where you can play campaign or side missions with the characters from the series and it has an online mode. You can even beat the story mode by forming a squad of four players.
AOT 2: Final Battle
Final Battle is the DLC for AOT 2 that expands the story mode, telling the events of the third season from the anime. It was released in 2019 for all the platforms mentioned above except PS Vita.
This DLC expands to the most recent stories aired in Japan in 2019 (the two parts of season 3). In addition, an original character, Scout Regiment, is included so you can experience the story from the point of view of the other characters.
Final Battle expands the number of playable characters to more than 40 available. Characters that appear in the third season such as Kenny, Zeke, Nifa, Floch or Caven join the battle.
On the other hand, you can enjoy the omnidirectional action that totally imitates the original anime: you will attack the titans directly to the back of the head or you will go through the city at an incredible speed. In addition, you will be able to enjoy new types of weapons such as the Thunder Spear or the Anti-Personnel Omni-directional Mobility Gear.
Lastly, Final Battle has added a new mode, Territory Recovery Modea way to recruit your favorite characters from the series and undertake with them the reconquest beyond the walls.
On top of all this, more downloadable content has been added for AOT 2: Final Battle. 12 bonus episodes with which you can continue enjoying the game and endless downloadable costumes and outfits for all your characters.

Shingeki has given us a pretty good game for nintendo switch which promises many hours of entertainment to all fans of the series. There hasn’t been any content update since 2019 so maybe at some point they’ll decide to include the story of the fourth season or release a new installment. Knowing that the anime is about to end, maybe they will surprise us with a new game.
