Last week we saw the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard, that is available worldwide on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC. COD is the most important franchise in Activision, and apparently the company is preparing a very special crossover with the popular anime and manga de Hajime Isayama: Attack on Titan.
Attack on Titan, O Shingeki no Kyojin, is an anime that is adapting the last narrative arc of the manga, so fans are looking forward to seeing the ending soon. The second half of the last season of Attack on Titan will start to air on January 9, 2022, so the Call of Duty: Vanguard crossover could arrive on those dates.
Sadly, this crossover doesn’t implement gameplay mechanics or missions inspired by el anime de Shingeki no Kyojin, because apparently he is only going to add cosmetic objects. According to the dataminer @_Nanikos_, who discovered a name operator “AOT_TITAN”, plus a file called “swordtitan”. The dataminer’s theory is that the crossover would happen in December.
The Zesty filter (@ZestyCODLeaks) agrees that we will see a new melee weapon that is not the katana, which is codenamed “aot_swords” y “s4_me_swordtitan”. Based on this we could assume that we will see the sword of the recon legion in Call of Duty: Vanguard, as well as an operator wearing the signature uniform.
Meanwhile, if you still don’t get Call of Duty: Vanguard I invite you to consult how many missions does your campaign mode have, which has the characteristic style of the titles of Sledgehammer. Although fans of the franchise are enjoying the classic multiplayer mode, some players discovered “bullet deflection” when aiming, which slightly affects the gameplay.
