Shingeki no Kyojinbetter known as Attack on Titan in the West, it is one of the most successful manga and anime of the last decade. While it has some official video games under its belt, none have managed to create a truly immersive or memorable experience. This situation, however, changed thanks to a project made by a very talented fan.
Independent developer Slavkaskola took the community by storm with the recent release of Attack on Titan VRa free video game that, as its very name suggests, allows players to explore some of the series’ mythical settings through a virtual reality device.

This unique unofficial project based on the franchise created by Hajime Isayama is made in the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine and is still under construction, so it receives regular updates that add new content. The latest version includes a tutorial, voices for the characters, new locations, a spectator mode and other new features that promise to delight fans.

In broad terms, this interesting game allows players to put themselves in the shoes of some mythical anime characters such as Eren Jeager or Levi Ackerman while they run through the stages at high speed with the help of the Three-Dimensional Maneuver Team. Of course, it is also possible to fight against the fearsome titans.
Although the graphics leave something to be desired, the gameplay looks really fun. Along these lines, the commitment to virtual reality is a great success and really favors immersion. Traveling at full speed while fighting the giant monsters conveys a well-executed sense of vertigo.
