Yesterday the last episode of the second part of the fourth and final season of Attack on Titan. Although many expected that MAPPA, the animation studio in charge of this adaptation, would announce a film to offer a conclusion for this story, many were surprised to hear that the ending will have a third part that will be released next year.
Through its official Twitter account, NHK, the television network where it is broadcast Attack on Titan in Japan confirmed the third part of the anime’s final season, which will air sometime in 2023. Along with this, a small teaser was released.
Considering that the second part of the last season had 11 episodes, many have questioned the structure of this conclusion, since a new season could well be created, but the emphasis on the ending prevented this. Season four covers the Marley arc as well as the War of Paradis arc. The next section of the anime will come to a close before the conclusion of War of Paradis, as this was the last story arc of the manga.
We hope to have more information about it throughout this year, but taking into account that the adaptation of chainsaw man will arrive in 2022, surely it will be some time before hearing clear information about Attack on Titan. The idea of offering a third part of the last season sounds strange. Considering the success of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and Jujutsu Kiasen 0the next logical step was a movie to conclude the story of Attack on Titanwhich surely would have been a success.
