It is one of Netflix’s flagship series. On December 25, 2020, the platform released season 1 of The Bridgerton Chronicle which was a huge hit. Even if the Duke played by Regé-Jean Page has said goodbye, the series based on the novels by Julia Quinn will have at least four seasons. After Simon and Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) then Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) in season 2, the production surprised fans by deciding to upset the order of the series.

If season 3 should have been centered on Benedict (Luke Thompson), it is ultimately Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) who will be at the center of the action. It was in May 2022 that the production announced a season on the “Polin” couple and filming began this summer. Few details have been released on the sequel to the series, apart from a few set photos that have given rise to wild theories. But a recent rumor has fans of the series worried.
The filming of Bridgerton postponed because of tensions?
Why ? It is linked to a potential delay in production. According to the Mail Online, there are backstage tensions over a sex scene”too dark” which would not have pleased the producer Shonda Rhimes. The writers would therefore have had to go back to writing, which could upset the shooting.
This announcement panicked some fans of the series. The others quickly questioned this rumor coming from an unreliable British site. And they did well. According to Hello Magazine, which quotes a source close to Netflix, this whole story would be false and completely made up. We are not really surprised.
An actress teases the sequel
For the moment, Netflix is keeping all the secrets of season 3 of The Bridgerton Chronicle. No official image or video has been released yet. But we can count on Adjoa Andoh who plays Lady Danbury to give a clue as to what awaits us.
