Tanjiro Kamado is a big-hearted and intelligent boy who lives with his family in the mountains. He became his family’s breadwinner after his father’s death, traveling to the nearby village to sell charcoal. Everything changes when he returns home one day to find that his family has been attacked and slaughtered by a demon. Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the only survivors of the incident. After an encounter with demon hunter Giyū Tomioka, Tanjiro is recruited and sent to his retired master Sakonji Urokodaki to train to become a demon slayer too, thus beginning his quest to help his sister transform back into a human. and avenge the death of his family.

After two years of intense training, Tanjiro takes part in a dreaded exam and is one of the few survivors to pass it, officially making him a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. He then begins his hunt for demons.

Season 1 airs since April 1, 2019 while Season 2 airs since October 10, 2021.
