Tanjiro is the protagonist in the famous manga series of Koyoharu Gotouge, which successfully made the leap to the small screen in early 2019. The popularity of Kimetsu no Yaiba it has been immense since its first episode.

The above tribute was performed by the cosplayer and streamer from Twitch Michaela Lee. She brought the shonen hero to life with her own incredible feminine touch of the character and shared the end results on her Instagram account Michaela Lee.

It’s fair to say that cosplay is pretty awesome too. In the anime, Tanjiro wears an iconic green and black haori over a white robe and black pants, and Michaela made sure to get that perfect cosplay look.

His Kimetsu no Yaiba costume is perfect note for note, right down to the “black and sea foam colors.” However, Lee’s cosplay was not without minor changes. Where Tanjiro’s outfit is a full-body piece, The Twitch streamer donned a shorter black top, giving him a unique look that set him apart from the rest.

To finish, Michaela added Tanjiro’s unmissable facial scar (his Demon Slayer Mark) that spread across his forehead like a fiery burn, just like in the anime. When it comes to Kimetsu no Yaiba cosplay, we think Michaela Lee’s is pretty impressive, and it certainly captures the essence of Tanjiro Kamado.
