It has been a few years since fans of the anime were treated to a brand new season of “Demon Slayer”. Granted, Funimation released the “Mugen Train Arc” – an episodic version of the movie with a bunch of new elements – ahead of the new season’s release, but still… it’s been a long journey, guys.

The show’s first season focused on Tanjiro’s tragic story, and how he ended up becoming a demon slayer. Tanjiro returns home one day and finds his family slaughtered, the only survivor, his sister Nezuko, having been transformed into a demon. From there, Tanjiro swears not only to find the demon behind the murders and avenge his family, but also to find a cure for Nezuko so that she becomes human again.

The second season will pick up directly after the film and introduce a brand new demon named Daki that Tanjiro and his team will have to fight.

Excited? A little nervous ? Yes, U.S. too.
