Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles, how long to finish the story?

As season 2 of the anime is about to begin, Demon Slayer will be entitled to its first real big video game adaptation this week with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles. The title headed by CyberConnect 2 then takes up the plot of season 1 and the movie the Infinity Train in an Adventure mode, in addition to the Versus mode. So how many hours of play can you expect to complete the story of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles ?

What is the lifespan of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles?

The Adventure mode of the game is not as free as you could find in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, even if we are sometimes allowed to freely control the characters in the sets, rather than a simple succession of fights. Here is the lifespan of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles according to our own playing experience :

  • Main story : about 6 to 7 hours
  • Main story + side objectives : about 8 to 10 hours

Everything will depend on the difficulty level chosen here (the game is quite easy in Normal mode), and whether you want to complete each encounter with rank S or not.

There are also several collectibles to pick up, but this task is easy to do and does not extend the lifespan much. If you look at all the memories and want to unlock the full picture of each chapter, you can probably go past ten hours a bit.

For the rest, it’s a fighting game, so the lifespan is potentially endless. But with its low cast at launch, the title will struggle to keep everyone for hours and hours.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles releases October 15 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
