This is how the Mr Urokodaki. Gentle, strong, strict, and highly skilled with a sword, he offers Tanjiro to train him to become a demon hunter so he can go in search of what he longs for.
Those who read the manga or watched the anime and the movie know that Urokodaki always wears a Tengu mask. and under no circumstances does he take it off to show his face. Why is this happening? In the same series she says it. Before being a swordsman cultivator, the lonely sensei lived as a pillar of water hunting demon with his deadly blade.
He says that whenever he faced a demon, they laughed in front of him because his face was too kind. So what he conveyed was that he couldn’t possibly be capable of harming anyone.
