After meeting Giyu Tomioka in the forest, Tanjiro went in search of Urokodaki, whom Giyu had told him to find. Tanjiro fought a demon in a temple and when he was about to finish him off, Urokodaki appeared wearing a tingu mask. Tanjiro was surprised by the stealth of the man and asked who he was. After reprimanding Tanjiro for hesitating to kill the demon, Urokodaki accepted Tanjiro as his student.

9 Rui was a deceptive looking demon
While fighting on a mountain, Tanjiro and Inosuke came across a small demon child perched on a spider web. After that, the boy was seen threatening the demon his mother was calling, urging her to quickly get rid of the demon hunters. His mother was frightened by his threat, leading viewers to wonder who that demon child was. Only after Tanjiro enraged him, the viewers discovered that this boy was not just any demon, but one of the twelve Kizuki.
8 Muzan’s presentation left many terrified
Tanjiro’s master revealed the name of the demon that killed Tanjiro’s family, and he was hell-bent on finding it. In a crowded city, Tanjiro caught the scent of Muzan and ran to confront him. When Tanjiro caught up with him, he was surprised to see that he had a son and a wife, a seemingly happy family.
Before Tanjiro could do anything else, Muzan quickly turned an innocent bystander into a demon to divert Tanjiro’s attention. When Tanjiro went to hold the guy, Muzan wandered off with his family, much to Tanjiro’s frustration.
7 Zenitsu seemed like a weakling, but he soon proved otherwise
Tanjiro encountered Zenitsu after completing his previous mission while he was desperately proposing to a girl. Zenitsu was easily upset by her fear and constant screaming. Almost anything could scare him, making him wonder how he had come to be a demon hunter. It wasn’t until his encounter with a demon at Kyogai’s mansion that fans learned the truth about him. He’s a real bastard when he’s asleep, and he proved it when he fell asleep and killed the demon in the blink of an eye.
6 Sabito wanted Tanjiro to get stronger
Tanjiro found himself unable to complete the last task his master gave him, and who wouldn’t? It is difficult to cut a rock with a sword. While ranting about how impossible it was, Tanjiro was reprimanded by Sabito, who was perched on the rock. Sabito told Tanjiro to stop complaining and act like a man, and then he engaged Tanjiro in a match and quickly defeated him. He pointed out that Tanjiro had only memorized his training, but that his body still didn’t know what to do.
5 The Master of the Demon Hunter Corps
While in the meeting to discuss Tanjiro’s fate for traveling with a demon, Tanjiro had a scuffle with one of the Hashira. Right at that moment, the presence of the master was announced and Kagaya Ubuyashiki entered. Tanjiro still did not know what was happening and, before he could do anything, he was forced to genuflect.
It was then that he realized that he was the only one not paying his respects. All the Hashira were on their knees and on their best behavior. One had to wonder what kind of person Ubuyashiki was to elicit such respect from the most powerful.
4 Giyu Tomioka was the first demon hunter viewers saw
After discovering that his family had been killed by a demon, Tanjiro led his demon-turned sister to seek help. He was attacked by Giyu Tomioka, who was hunting demons. Tanjiro did what he could to protect his sister, but Giyu was too strong for him. Nezuko, who was now a demon, began fighting Giyu to protect Tanjiro, much to Giyu’s surprise. Giyu was surprised to see that Nezuko chose to protect Tanjiro rather than devour him. He decided to forgive her and advise Tanjiro on what to do next.
3 The introduction of the Hashira was interesting
Tanjiro was tied up and presented to the Hashira to stand trial for harboring a demon. Tanjiro had no idea who they were or what their title implied. He was only concerned with the whereabouts of his sister, much to the chagrin of the Kakushi. They urged Tanjiro to pay their respects to the Hashira, who were introduced as the nine most powerful swordsmen in the Demon Hunter Corps.
2 Inosuke is a savage as they come
Inosuke’s introduction was nothing short of epic. It was obvious that he was going to be a well-loved character throughout the series. While Tanjiro was busy devising ways to defeat Kyogai, Inosuke burst in with great force and with a thunderous musical score. Everything from his character design to his personality was intriguing and fans could already guess that he was a top fighter. He declared that he was going to kill Kyogai and reach new heights. Its value was impressive.
1 Akaza’s appearance was simply fascinating
Tanjiro and his companions successfully defeated Enmu and ensured the safety of the 200 passengers aboard the Mugen Train. While Flame Hashira Rengoku was tending to the injured Tanjiro, Akaza appeared out of nowhere. His presence was by no means a good omen, but the way he appeared to fight was impressive. Ufotable did everything right: from the soundtrack to the animation, everything was top-notch. Ultimately, Akaza had the most epic entry yet.
