Demon Slayer Season 2 summary
Demon Slayer follows the story of Tanjiro Kamado. A big-hearted, intelligent boy who lives on top of a mountain with his family. Living a happy life is no longer an option for Tanjiro, as one fine morning he comes home from work and finds his family slaughtered and killed by a demon. In this fantastic world, demons are ancient humans who sold their humanity for unimaginable powers. However, there are also curse breakers in this world known as demon hunters.
These demon slayers are entirely human and have the sole purpose of destroying the demonic population of this world. However, they breathe differently and use different techniques for breathing, called “styles of breath”.
These breathing techniques give them special powers of salvation which help them to equip themselves with special superhuman forces and more defense. The story gets a bit more complicated, as Tanjiro’s sister, Nezuko Kamado, the sole survivor of the demon attack, is transformed into a demon. Surprisingly, Nezuko manages to retain his human emotions and feelings, which allows him to be a semi-human.
The siblings soon meet Giyu Tomioka, a demon slayer, who sends them to Sakonji Urokodaki, another retired demon slayer. From there, Tanjiro begins training to find a solution in order to transform his sister into a human from her demonic form.
