Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba shared a new flashback for Tengen Uzui which is exclusive to the anime with the latest episode of the series! The show’s second season has reached the intense climax of the Entertainment District arc and that means it will be ramping up to the final episodes. One of the benefits that comes from adapting the now complete version of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga is the retrospective it gives the ufotable team the opportunity to examine events and insert new material. to better flesh out some of the original story that didn’t quite have time for expansion.
This was especially the case with the last episode, because while the anime vision on the Entertainment District arc showed some original material for the adaptation, the last episode added something that further helped flesh out the background. by Tengen Uzui. It’s something we couldn’t get much of from the original manga, and this new scene featuring Tengen and his wives sharing an intimate, heartfelt moment together is just the extra boost we need to bond even more. them. It’s the right decision…isn’t it?
The new episode of Demon Slayer was good. I know people will mostly talk about the battle sequences but for me the highlight of this episode was definitely Uzui and the original anime scenes that were added, it adds more depth to his character.#Demon slayer #DemonSlayer pic.twitter.com/LzwKoSTttM

Episode 9 of Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc kicks off with an original scene that revisits Tengen’s past. While the series has touched on him before and revealed why he’s so determined to keep his women alive at the cost of his shinobi heritage, the new scene here underscores that with the fact that he still feels the loss of his brothers and sisters. sisters who died during the course of their formation and their missions. While praying at their grave, he once again swears to protect Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma. But it’s also a crucial look at Tengen’s openness.
This ties into the rest of what we’ve learned about him so far in his fight with Gyutaro and Daki, and the season finale then builds on that with the manga scene where Hinatsuru asks Tengen and the others to retreat from battle after successfully defeating a higher-ranking demon. This is all very necessary to make us feel more for Tengen, and given the state he is in at the end of the episode, we’re going to have to keep that hope and love for the character alive.
What do you think? What do you think of Demon Slayer adding this new material in the latest episode? Are you eager to learn more about Tengen’s past before getting back into the action?
