Demon Slayer Season 2 Surprises With Nezuko’s Bloody New Power TechRadar

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has released a surprisingly bloody new ability for Nezuko Kamado in the series’ latest episode! The second season of the anime has now reached the turning point of the Entertainment District arc of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga series, and with it began to unleash all of Nezuko’s newfound power. Going into a berserk state at the end of the previous episode, Nezuko underwent a noticeable demonic transformation that immediately increased her strength and speed. As the latest episode shows off more of that power, she also revealed a surprising new ability.

The previous episode teased that Nezuko could fight on the level of powerful demons like Daki thanks to her new berserk state, but the series’ latest episode took that to the next level as she began to unleash more of her capacities. This included a surprisingly bloody new ability that she ends up using purely out of instinct when Daki beheads Nezuko at the start of the episode. It is revealed that Nezuko can actually freeze her blood and force her body to stick together even when torn limb by limb.

Episode 7 of Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc saw Daki immediately tear Nezuko’s body apart with her scarves. While this would have been the case for any other demon, Nezuko reveals that she still has full control over her severed limbs. In fact, it is soon revealed that she hardened her blood to hold her various parts together (including her head) and was able to maintain relative control. It’s as if they were never apart in the first place, and that raises even more questions about his power.

It’s been teased that his recovery speed is on par with higher ranked demons like Daki, and it appears to be an extension of the ability. This doesn’t include the flames from her Blood Art, which means there are still plenty of abilities Nezuko could have at her disposal. But given that the compromise means she loses all control of herself in the process, it probably won’t be a power she can use in every fight.

But what do you think? What do you think of Nezuko’s new abilities? What do you think of his berserk demonic state in the last episode? How are you finding the second season of Demon Slayer so far?
