Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is likely to disappoint fans once again with the new episode order that has surfaced online for the Entertainment District arc! The long-awaited second season of the anime got off to a rocky start with fans, as it spent the first seven weeks of its airing in a fragmented version of the feature film Mugen Train, released the previous year. Now that the season has finally kicked off the Entertainment District arc, it looks like the anime won’t stick around as long as fans would like for this new arc.
A new episode order spotted by @animetv_jp on Twitter could confirm the worst: Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc is listed with 11 episodes in total. This means that the original 18-episode order for the second season, which surprised fans when it was first reported, now looks all the more achievable. With the final episode marking the fifth installment of this new arc, and the fighting escalating, it looks like the second season is nearing its end.
Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc began with the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui recruiting Tanjiro Kamado, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma for a dangerous new mission in Yoshiwara District. Sneaking around various courtiers’ houses in search of demonic threats, it quickly became clear that this threat was in fact a member of Muzan’s upper ranks. This means that this new threat, Daki, is at the same level of strength as Akaza, that Kyojuro Rengoku died just fighting the previous mission.
This new arc, now at five episodes, has officially kicked off the fight between Daki and the Demon Slayers. Tengen’s women were found and rescued, but that was just the start of an even bigger fight to come. As fans have noticed from the beat of each episode, it’s now clear that the next six episodes will be filled with a ton of action before it all comes to an end.
