We know that Electronic Arts is working on a new need for speed for a long time but it has not yet been officially announced, so it is assumed that its launch is still a long way off. However, the latest rumors suggest that the new Need For Speed would be revealed in october with a release scheduled for December 2022.
As reported by Tom Henderson for his site InsiderGaming, the new Need For Speed from Electronic Arts would be titled Unbound and would be revealed in October, supposedly during the next two weeks. Also, rumor has it Need For Speed: Unbound It would have a launch scheduled for December of this year.

According to Henderson’s sources, the new Need For Speed: Unbound would have a release date scheduled for December 2, 2022 and will come to Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Being an exclusive game of the current generation of consoles, Need For Speed: Unbound would not come to Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
In March of last year Electronic Arts announced a delay for the new Need For Speed due to the fact that Criterion Games helped with the development of Battlefield 2042, so we know that the game has been years in development but has been affected by the other projects of the company.
In May of this year Electronic Arts revealed that the new Need For Speed was being developed by Criterion Games in conjunction with Codemasters Cheshire, who together formed a new team as part of Criterion in charge of the future of the series. Since then there have been no more official announcements from Electronic Arts.
There are only a few weeks left until the supposed reveal of the new Need For Speed, but since April there has been a rumor that the game has anime-inspired visuals, which seek to give a new identity to the series. Meanwhile, all that remains is to wait for the official announcement of Need For Speed: Unbound, which could well be the triumphant return of the series to the racing genre.
