This is the event dedicated to pop culture: The Geek days are back in Lille on December 3 and 4. We tell you all about this event.

Fans of comics, science fiction, Asian culture, cosplays or even manga can’t miss it. The capital of Flanders welcomes the geek days this Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December at Lille Grand Palais. On the program: entertainment, karaoke competitions, signing sessions, quizzes… Visitors won’t have time to get bored.

The event is divided into four zones. L’ImaginaryWorld will bring together major licenses and the culture of the imagination. Visitors will be able to find the great references of cinema, such as Harry PotterStar Wars or The Lord of the Rings. They may also meet dubbing actors having worked for major films and series. David Krüger will notably be present. This actor is the French voice of Dwayne Johnson, Chris Pratt, Ed Helms, Michael Shannon, or even Shemar Moore. He also dubbed several game characters video, like Darius and Nocturne in League of Legends. Role-playing and board games will be offered.

The followers of gaming and of e-sport will go to the virtual zone. Cult video game tournaments such as FIFA, Street Fighter or Super Smash Bros Ultimate will be organized. It is also in this area that visitors will come across famous YouTubers and streamers like Benzaie or Bob Lennon. Virtual reality and retrogaming stands will also be set up. Fans of musical games will be delighted, because a space will be specially dedicated to JVM Events! On the program: Just Dance, Guitar Hero or even Taïko No Tatsujin.

A space dedicated to Asian culture

Heart oh Asia will immerse visitors in the asian culture with manga, Japanese groceries, katanas or even Korean swords. The famous Japanese video game and manga licenses, such as pokemon, Dragon Ball Z Passing by Demon Slayer, will also be represented. On the occasion of a cosplay contest, visitors will have the opportunity to parade on stage with their best costume. Korean sword demonstrations and initiation are also on the program.

And finally, geeky and creative minds will find what they are looking for in the Creative Corner. They will be able to discover paintings, figurines, photos… and even buy some!
