The end of the year is approaching, and it has been a prolific year for the anime market. Between the end of Demon Slayer and the arrival of the series chain saw man, the manga scene was particularly rich in twists and turns. Next year should follow the same trend, with many new features and sequels planned in the coming months.
Attack on Titan – season 4, part 3
The conclusion is near. Initially planned in two parts, the final season of The attack of the Titans will finally be entitled to a third installment, possibly on the big screen. A first poster was unveiled a few days ago, but we won’t have to wait for the sequel to the anime before spring 2023. A hell of a program for the MAPPA studio, already in charge of chain saw man and Jujutsu Kaisen.
Demon Slayer – season 3
After a masterful end to the manga Demon SlayerTanjirō will sign his big comeback next winter, in a season 3 that we are already waiting impatiently. More information should be revealed in the coming months, but we can already expect the Ufotable studio to put the package for its new arc. In France, it will probably be necessary to turn to Crunchyroll, the platform having recently merged with Wakanim.
Jujutsu Kaisen—season 2
After a far too long wait, and despite the cinema release of the excellent prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0Gege Akutami’s series will be back in February 2023 on Crunchyroll. On the program, Internet users should find 24 episodes divided into two distinct parts, and a broadcast spread over six months. The new adventures of Yūji, Megumi and Nobara should particularly dwell on the past of Satoru Gojo, and in particular his links with his former partner Suguru Geto.
dreamland
The French manga imagined by Reno Lemaire is back. After one very high-flying remaster edition, the anime will arrive by the end of next year on the DNA platform. The opportunity for you, if you haven’t already, to discover one of the most popular French productions of his generationin a story from home, signed by La Chouette Compagnie.
Pluto
Announced at the Annecy Festival, with a scheduled broadcast on Crunchyroll, Pluto is offered an unexpected adaptation in an animated series through the work of the Genco studio. Signed by the brilliant Naoki Urasawa (Monster, 20th Century Boy), this seinen panting to the tunes of a noir novel is a vibrant tribute to the heritage Astro Boy, which is felt throughout the narrative. Completed in eight volumes, the series should not drag on, but already promises to amaze us.
Doraemon the movie 2023
When it’s good, you never get tired. The proof with the 42nd feature film Doraemon. The little robot cat straight from the future has left its mark on generations since the 1970s. Almost half a century later, the character imagined by Fujiko F. Fujio is still just as popular, and will return to the big screen. A not so risky bet for the Shin-Ei Animation studio, when we know that the manga is among the best-selling in history.
