News culture Jujutsu Kaisen: The universe of manga as you’ve never seen it
Jujutsu Kaisen is due back soon with the release of the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In the meantime, the Japanese have the right to a cute collaboration to wait nicely.
The unexpected collaboration
As we know, the land of the rising sun is not stingy with figurines and other derivative products when it comes to exploiting the worlds of manga and anime. Video games, home accessories, clothing… the most popular works invade the shelves of Japanese stores, and are found in the heart of Japanese daily life. Today, the universe of Jujutsu Kaisen is highlighted through a collaboration with … Tamagotchi! The small virtual animals which toured French recreation in the early 2000s will therefore be replaced by Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo Sensei and even Sukuna, in chibi version moreover.
In terms of functionality, we find the great classics of the Tamagotchi device where you can feed and spend time with your favorite weighing machine, but you can also train them to the profession of exorcist by finding Sukuna’s fingers and fighting plagues. Gojo can even use his special territory expansion technique. A very nice little collaboration with Bandai Namco, whose works Demon Slayer and Evangelion had already enjoyed before
you can feed each tamagotchi character rice balls (or kikufuku mochi for Gojo), train them to become jujutsu sorcerers by catching Sukuna’s fingers or using the cursed doll, fight curses, and Gojo even has a special exclusive Domain Expansion in his 🤣 pic.twitter.com/HP26OqCQUX

The “Jujugotchi” should arrive at the beginning of the year 2022 on the Japanese market. No information has been communicated regarding an official release in France. You will probably have to import these little tamagotchi if you want to get them.
Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan … manga are popular in France
The popularity of manga in France is no longer to be proven while our country is on the podium of global consumers of manga behind Japan. A passion reinforced during the pandemic that we owe to the new figureheads of the shônen such as Demon Slayer or The attack of the Titans. The second season of the Demon Slayer anime is currently being broadcast, and the second part of the final season of Attack on Titan will be broadcast from January 9th.
Meanwhile, the MAPPA studio is preparing the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 but also the first season of Chainsaw Man, the last great success of the Weekly Shonen Jump. In paper format, the recent historic start of Kaiju N ° 8 shows once again how much love we have for Japanese culture. The future of manga in our country seems secure.
