Akaza’s imitation is quite funny!
Kimetsu no Yaiba has been very successful in recent months. Anime is not only massive in Japan, but the fandom has already spread all over the world. After the end of the second season, all eyes of the audience are on the series to see what Tanjiro does next. And for that to happen, fans can continue to go viral, just like it did a teacher who decided to cosplay Akaza for his students.
The video, which began to circulate on Reddit, speaks for itself. The clip is taken from the perspective of a student in the back of a college classroom as several of his classmates sit in front of them. On the front, you can see several sliding boards with mathematical equations written on them in chalk, but it’s hard to pay attention to them when you have Akaza walking around the school.
Apparently, the Upper Moon has taken over the class teacher, and Kimetsu no Yaiba cosplay is practically a work of art. The professor has covered his torso with tape to mimic Akaza’s tattoos, and even these go up his face. The rest of the costume is completed with the classic pink demon vest and baggy pants. And, of course, he couldn’t miss his pink hair.
As he imparts the day’s lesson to his students, the disguised teacher strikes various poses of Akaza and even quotes some of his best-known phrases. The students can be heard laughing at the good imitation, and if we were there, we would surely laugh too. After all, Akaza isn’t a demon you’d like to piss off, so his quips are worth laughing at if it means he won’t put a fist through your chest.
It’s clear that Akaza fits into this class quite easily, and the teacher’s cosplay shows how big Kimetsu no Yaiba has become for the audience. Only the biggest anime series have been honored in this way, and this cosplay doesn’t even go for one of the Kimetsu no Yaiba protagonists. Even antagonists like Akaza are well known enough to bolster a class cosplay like the one the teacher chose, maybe we’ll need him to dress up as Douma once the third season premieres.
