The breath of the Fire God Dance reveals its secrets
The anime adaptation of Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered the long-awaited Red Light District Arc on Sunday, December 5, 2021 via Crunchyroll Y Funimation. In this plot thread, we will know some of the most important secrets about the past of our protagonists and how they are connected to Muzan Kibutsuji, the king of the Demons. In addition, this part of the story will introduce us to two of the most powerful demonic moons and Tengen Uzui, one of the most important pillars in the entire franchise. To start the revelations, this series has shown the most powerful of all breaths.
ABefore explaining what the Red Light District Arc chapter showed, we have to go back a bit in time. During Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Mugen Train arc, we saw how Tanjiro Kamado learned more about the Hinokami Kagura (The Dance of the Fire God) from Kyojuro Rengoku himself, the pillar of flame.
He asked her whether or not she knew something about the root of this mysterious breath that she learned from her family. However, he replies that he has no idea, he had never heard of the Hinokami Kagura (The Dance of the Fire God), but within his family’s files there could be an answer.. In this way, his true discovery comes after his tragic events in this story: Solar Breathing.

The Solar Breath of Kimetsu no Yaiba
During Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Mugen Train arc, before Kyojuro Rengoku was assassinated by Akaza, this pillar had an important talk with Tanjiro Kamado about his family and entrusted him with a message for its members.. In addition, he recommended to speak with his father and look for answers about the Hinokami Kagura (The Dance of the Fire God) in the records of the pillars of the flame, surely he would find something valuable. But, what he found was something he did not expect.
In the first episode of the Kimetsu no Yaiba Red Light District Arc they confirm that Shinjuro Rengoku, the father of Kyojuro and former pillar of the flame, is the one who knows an ancient breath that has been lost in history that could be related to the Hinokami Kagura (Dance of the God of Fire): The Solar breath, the most powerful of all. According to this ancient warrior, this breath has a direct relationship with Muzan Kibutsuji (who had commissioned to murder everyone who met her).

Shinjuro Rengoku mentions to Tanjiro Kamado that the hanafuda earrings he wears are found in the flame pillars books. You recognize these earrings from a long family of coal workers, who had mastered a powerful breath that Muzan Kibutsuji himself fears.. According to the records kept by the Rengoku family, Tanjiro would be a possessor of the Solar Breath technique, the first breath of all of Kimetsu no Yaiba (and the most devastating) of which there is any known existence.
In fact, Shinjuro comments that all of Kimetsu no Yaiba’s other breaths are basically variants of the Solar Breath (including the fire and water breath itself). As far as he knows (and records show), Tanjiro is descended from a long family of coal workers and Muzan Kibutsuji himself decided to have those who knew this technique murdered. If this breath is the first and most devastating of all, he might be able to defeat the king of demons himself, this would explain the great fear that he keeps.
