Like every end of the year, the Jump Festa is held, an event dedicated to the hits of the “Jump” magazines of the publisher Shûeisha, often synonymous with numerous announcements. This 2022 edition, named Jump Festa 2023, is no exception. Also, in this first news, we summarize the essential information of the first day of the festival.
Mission Yozakura Family
A anime adaptation of Mission Yozakura Family (Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen) of Hitsuji Gondaira has been announced. Scheduled for 2024, it will be produced by the Silver Link studio. A first key visual has been revealed.
Ongoing since 2019 in Shônen Jump, the manga will see its 16th volume released on January 4, in Japan. With us, 11 volumes are available from Kana editions.
Sand Land
Sand Landone shot ofAkira Toriyamawill be adapted in Animation Film for a release in Japanese cinemas scheduled for 2023! A first promotional video has been unveiled (see end of news).
Published in 2000 in Shônen Jump, Sand Land has only one volume. With us, Glénat published the book in March 2002

Undead Unluck
Announced a few months ago, theanime adaptation ofUndead Unluckmanga by Yoshifumi Tozuka, becomes clearer. A first trailer (to be seen at the end of the news) has been released. As a reminder, the broadcast is scheduled for 2023, the production of the animation being provided by the studio David Production and overall production by TMS-Entertainment.
We also learned more about the staff: The anime is directed by Yuki Yasewhile the character-design is ensured by Hideyuki Morioka. Kenichiro Suehiro compose the music. Note, too, that the voice cast is complete: We already knew that Moe Kahara and Yûichi Nakamura will respectively interpret Fûko and Andy, the two protagonists. They are joined by Kenji Nomura and Natsuki Hanae as Void and Shen.
In the process of being published since 2020 in Shônen Jump, the manga currently has 14 volumes in Japan. With us, the first 8 volumes are available from Kana editions.

Naruto/Boruto
The saga initiated by the manga of Masashi Kishimoto has also reserved its share of announcements, starting with that of the concert Naruto The Live, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the work, which will be held in Japan on September 2 and 3. Emblematic groups, having performed anime credits, such as Flow and KANA-BOOM will be present, all presented by Junko Takeuchi and Norioki Sugiyamathe seiyû of Naruto and Sasuke.

On the anime side, an adaptation for the novel has been announced. Sasuke Retsuden, which recently benefited from a manga adaptation (read our news). The episodes covering the novel will be directly grafted into the anime Boruto – Naruto Next Generations and broadcast in January 2023. A key visual has been unveiled. Then, in February, the anime will enter the Code arc, already started last year as far as the manga version is concerned.

Finally, a special character popularity poll was launched. Appointed Narutop99, it brings together 488 figures from the saga. The 99 most popular characters will be named, while Masashi Kishimoto will draw never-before-seen illustrations for the first 20 characters. Finally, the figure in first place will be entitled to a short manga drawn by the mangaka. The votes are open today, and will be closed on January 31, 2023. Kenshin the Wanderer
The new anime adaptation manga Kenshin the Wanderer / Ruroni Kenshin of Nobuhiro Watsuki also becomes clear. Produced by the studio Liden Films and broadcast in 2023, it benefits from two new visuals highlighting the characters of Yahiko Myojin and Sanosuke Sagara.


Demon Slav
Originally a manga written by Takahiro and designed by Yohei Takemura, Demon Slav (Where Mato Seihei no Slave) will be brought in animated series by the studio Seven Bows next year, as we already knew. A trailer (to be seen at the end of the news) has been unveiled!
Launched in 2019 on Shônen Jump+, Demon Slave currently has 11 volumes in Japan, with the 12th installment scheduled for January 4. Concerning us, the first 8 volumes are available from Kurokawa editions.

Jujutsu Kaisen
During the panel dedicated to Jujutsu Kaisenmanga by Gege AkutamiSome information on the long-awaited second season of the anime have been communicated. Still produced by the studio MAPPA, this sequel will be released in July 2023. A trailer (still to be found under these lines) has also been unveiled. This season 2 will adapt arcs from Gojo’s past and the Shibuya Incident. An arc which, according to Twitter, will not fail to damage the jackets of the spectators…
Published since 2018 in Shônen Jump, the manga currently has 21 volumes in Japan. With us, 17 volumes have been published by Ki-oon editions.

Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!
Originally a manga by Kai Ikada in progress since 2019 on the Shônen Jump+, Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! (or Dosanko Gal wa Namaramenkoi) will also be entitled to its animated series in 2023. The panel dedicated to the work told us that the anime will be produced by Silver Link and Blade studios. Mirai Minato serves as chief director and screenwriter, Misuzu Hoshino as director, and Katsuyuki Sato as character designer. A key visual has been unveiled. New to us, the manga currently has 9 volumes in Japan.

Bleach – The Bloody Thousand Year War
The new season of bleachadapting the Thousand Year Bloody War arc from the manga by Tite Kubowas treated to a new visual to celebrate its broadcast, still in progress in Japan, and which will soon reach us through Disney+.

Tomorrow’s day should also be rich in announcements, since it will offer panels around Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective, Spy X Family, Demon Slayer, Ayakashi Triangle, Dr Stone, chain saw man or One Piece.
