Naruto: a new video game would be on the way
Six years later, would this be the return of the video game saga Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm ? This is indicated by the recent initiative of Bandai Namco, responsible for many video game adaptations of famous manga (the latest being Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles). Indeed, some have noticed that the publisher has trademarked the name “Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS” at the European Intellectual Property Office :
Bandai Namco has registered the brand name “Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS” in Europe.
Naruto: an ultimate opus with Boruto?
A name that strongly evokes the series of successful Naruto video games. Nevertheless, we note that the registered name does not include a number: it would therefore seem that Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4released in 2016 in Europe, will remain the last numbered opus unless Connections does not constitute a code name. On this subject, this is not the last episode of the saga to have arrived on our consoles since Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto anis that Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy were published in 2017.
What can a new opus integrate, when the manga has been completed since 2014 and the television adaptation in 2016? Perhaps an ultimate opus, bringing together all the adventures of Naruto as well as those of his son Boruto, still on screen today. Something that would in any case justify the word Connections in the name registered by Bandai.
In any case, this recent initiative from Bandai Namco is sure to thrill fans. The latter have already been able to show their enthusiasm for the manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. The latter was the subject of a second collaboration with Fortnite in the middle of the year, while the Pierrot studios (responsible for the animation) reissued many scenes from the series in a ten-minute short film for the anime’s 20th anniversary.
