Finally! After a long wait, star plus announced that the island of shadows (Summer Time Rendering) will soon join its catalog in Latin America. The first season will be available in its entirety starting on January 11, 2023both subtitled and dubbed into Latin Spanish.
The original manga created by Yasuki Tanaka was serialized in the online magazine Shonen Jump+ between October 2017 and February 2021. The Shueisha publishing house compiled the story in a total of 13 volumes. Its acclaimed anime adaptation aired between April and September 2022 in Japan. The series ran over 25 episodes that adapted the full story from the print.

Ayumu Watanabe (Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko) served as director of the animated adaptation by studio OLM (Odd Taxi). Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) served as the main screenwriter; Miki Matsumoto (Angels of Death) handled the character designs; while Keiichi Okabe (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero), Ryūichi Takada (The Faraway Paladin) and Keigo Hoashi (The Faraway Paladin) composed the music.
Star Plus provides the following synopsis of Summer Time Rendering:
“Summer Time Rendering is a suspenseful science fiction story set on a small island. After the death of his childhood friend, Ushio Kofune, Shinpei Ajiro returns to his native home after two years for the funeral. His best friend, Sou Hishigata, suspects that something is behind Ushio’s death and that someone else could soon suffer the same fate. The next day, the entire family from the house next door disappears, leaving a sinister omen next to the event.
The Japanese cast was led by Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Shinpei Ajiro and Anna Nagase (Hack in Yurei Deko) as Ushio Kofune. For its part, the Latin dubbing was directed by Enrique Cervantes (Neon Genesis Evangelion) for the TV Group studio in Mexico, and featured the voices of Uraz Huerta (Inosuke Hashibira in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Diana Nolan (Anzu Hoshino in The Romance Killer) in the leading roles.
