The company behind the manga of ‘One Piece’, ‘Dragon Ball’ and ‘Demon Slayer’ created its video game division with 10 projects on the way

In a recent statement released by Gaming BoltShueisha Inc. the manga publisher that publishes franchises like Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece or Demon Slayerhas announced the opening of its first video game distribution division.

This publisher has a branch focused on the development of video games called Game Creators CAMPso they are going to extend the production force in this field in which titles referring to their most successful manga could come, currently it has five games in development which are:

  • Oni: Action game focused on the binomial formed by Kuta and Kazemaru, who will seek revenge on the demon Momotaru.
  • Ukiyo: Kai, a samurai cat, was trapped in a virtual world and with the help of his friends he will seek to return to the real world.
  • The Sweets Scramble: Battle royale in two dimensions in which, controlling some curious fairies, we will have to eliminate our opponents using candies.
  • Numpur Card Wars: Solitaire-inspired tower defense construction game in which you can summon friendly cat soldiers.
  • Captain Velvet Meteor: Tactical action game that mixes hints of puzzles with stealth, originally developed for mobile.

Around 4,000 developers have already signed up for this initiative and it has planned to release 10 games in the future, although there is still no information about most of them. Initially they are targeting the mobile market, which has dominated almost half of the total sales in the field of video games.

The world of anime is getting closer to us, we already have services of streaming like Funimation or Crunchyroll, which have merged here in Mexico. So a next step was to jump into the video game. Upcoming productions in gaming they could be a success and maybe in the future we will have more Demon Slayer, Naruto or Dragon Ball games.

On the other hand, a clear example of a highly anticipated anime game is the recently shown ‘One Piece Odyssey’, a JRPG game featuring the participation of Eiichiro Odaof which there is already a trailer and a lot of information about what to expect from this game.
