2022 tends towards its last days, to make room for 2023. This new year will not only mark the arrival on the market of new anime, but also the return of anime with new seasons. During the Jump Festa, anime fans were able to realize that the next spring will certainly be the busiest of the year.
Novelties as far as the eye can see
If you thought 2022 was an intense year, expect more with 2023! The coming year promises significant releases. First of all, January begins with exclusives like the last part of the final season of Attack on Titan or the reboot of Trigun Stampede. 2023 will also see the latest film directed by Hayao Miyazaki. But 2023 is not just about that.
The spring season will be intense in outings. We will find in particular seasons 3 of Dr Stone and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibaas well as seasons 2 of Another World With My Smartphone, Vinland Saga, Edens Zero and The Ancient Magnus’ Bride. The spring season will also be marked by anime which will make their first breakthrough on the screen. These are Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, Mashle: Muscles and Magic, Oshi no Ko, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch. In the spring of 2023, we will have the second part of season 1 of Gundam: Witch From Mercury, the anime spin-off from Konosuba, and the Ranking of Kings anime special.
The return of Jujutsu Kaisen
The anime scheduled for the spring 2023 season will certainly make an impression. However, another anime planned for the summer is also highly anticipated by all. Jujutsu Kaisen will return in July 2023. The story will focus in particular on the past of Gojo Satoru, and his relationship with Suguru Geto. For this season 2, MAPPA will have to adapt “the Shibuya incident”. Towards the end of season 1, the masters of plagues had mentioned this event which will undoubtedly have repercussions on the rest of the anime.
