Demon Slayer is an innovative anime of the current era. It set a new standard for storytelling and stunning animation. Demon Slayer features Kamado Tanjiro and Kamado Nezuko as the main character. Both brothers are orphaned when the Demon Lord, Kibutsuji Muzan, slaughters their entire family. However, the main cast includes some additional characters, such as Hashibiro Inosuke Y Agatsuma Zenitsu.
Main character in Demon Slayer
The main character of Demon Slayer is Kamado Tanjiro, who has the most amount of screen time. The story is from his point of view and his journey to avenge his family. However, the spotlight is also shared by Kamado Nezuko, who is one of the best waifu according to fans. Therefore, the two brothers travel together to find the Demon Lord, Muzan, who murdered their entire family.
However, the main obstacle here is that Nezuko has turned into a demon and cannot go out in the sun. She must also constantly refrain from harming and feeding on humans.
Therefore, to make sure of that, Tanjiro carries her in a thick wooden box at all times. It works because after becoming a demon, Nezuko can shrink or expand her body at will.
Ever since Nezuko became a demon the day her family was murdered, the Water Hashira, tomioka giyu, try to run it. But Tanjiro somehow manages to protect her and convince Giyuu that Nezuko has never hurt a human and can refrain from doing the same.
So finally, Giyu’s master, Urokodani Sakonji, welcomes them and trains Tanjiro to become a Demon Slayer. Thus he begins the search for him to find Muzan and avenge his family.
Deuteragonist in Demon Slayer
Although Kamado Nezuko is more of the main character, she is also a deuteragonist against Tanjiro. The main cast also includes Hashibira Inosuke and Agatsuma Zenitsu.
Therefore, together they make up the main cast of Demon Slayer. After Inosuke and Zenitsu’s introduction to the story, the trio are almost always together on missions. So the four of them are pretty much together in every arc, which makes for a lot of fun.
Also, the best part of the series is that each Hashira plays an important role in each arc.
For example, Tomioka Giyu stands out in the introductory arc, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Y Shinobu Kōcho stand out in the arch of Mount Natagumo, Rengoku Kyōjiro it is highlighted in the Mugen Train arc, and so on.
The good news is that the third season of Demon Slayer is in production and will air in 2023. The third season will cover the Swords Smith Village and Hashira Training arc, with Kanroji Mitsuri, Shinazugawa Genya, and Himejima Gyomei. So we have a lot to look forward to.
