Confirmed at the beginning of the year, season 2 of Demon Slayer has so far remained stingy in information. Scheduled for 2021, the animated sequel has now unveiled its dates and will benefit from the film’s popularity Mugen Train, which bridges the gap between the first season 1 and the second!
Demon Slayer season 2: the release date
Japanese channel Fuji TV to air Demon Slayer season 2 from October 10, Sundays at 11:15 p.m., escaping the dreaded censorship. The schedule is simple: one episode per week, Sunday evening. There will be a total of 18 episodes!
On the side of France, Netflix could stream the series as early as 2022, while Funimation announces availability from 2021, without a specific date.

What does The Infinity Train “Mugen Train” change in season 2?
We recently told you about the movie Mugen Train by Demon Slayer, and its upcoming availability on Netflix. Launched in October 2020 in Japan and remained national for many months, this feature film was exported to the West as part of cinema screenings. The events of the second season of Kimetsu no Yaiba will therefore logically follow those of the film.
Demon Slayer Season 2: Screenplay, Story & Synopsis
Demon Slayer season 2 will therefore follow the film, adapting the narrative arc ‘EntertainmentDistrict‘. These are events happening as soon as the Mugen Train ends and although we don’t want too much spoiler, be careful since the rest of the article will reveal a few things about the S01 and its finale.
The first season therefore ended with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke who were going to have their first big Demon Slayer mission. Rengoku, from the Hashira, accompanies the trio, and this is where the film takes place: Tanjiro and his group trying to defeat the ‘Lower One of the Twelve Moons’, that group of the first Demons (and those who killed Tanjiro’s family).
At the end of the film and therefore, in the Demon Slayer season 2, it will now be necessary to manage the consequences of such a battle. The trailer has shown it well: the group is heading to Yoshiwara, a big city of all passions and new adversaries are to be expected …
