Yahaba and Susamaru – After adding Rui and Akaza to the game in October, the developers are excited to announce that the series’ second free post-launch content update is now available in Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles.
This new update adds two new characters to the Versus Mode roster: Yahaba and Susamaru. In this article we would like to introduce these two new playable demons and how they are represented in The Hinokami Chronicles.
Yahaba (Actor de voz: Jun Fukuyama)
First we have Yahaba (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), a menacing figure who teams up with Susamaru to ambush Tanjiro in Asakusa under the orders of Kibutsuji. He has eyes on both hands and can generate arrows that manipulate directional forces with his Blood Demon Art, making him dangerous in long-range battles.
While these arrows cannot deal damage themselves, once they pierce an enemy they can be used to slam an enemy into the ground (dealing damage) or they can be used on rocks to throw at opponents. Players will need to keep these options in mind while playing as Yahaba.
Susamaru (Actriz de voz: Mikako Komatsu)
Susamaru (voiced by Mikako Komatsu) is a demon with the appearance of a young girl who attacks Tanjiro in Asakusa alongside Yahaba. Through the use of his powerful mari (decorative balls of yarn), he can keep his distance from any opponent. In game, this makes her particularly strong against Demon Slayer Corps who prefer close-range combat.
Susamaru fights by throwing her mari at the enemy while actively moving across the field. They are a great way to lure in an enemy by getting them to lower their guard and set up effective combos that can deal massive amounts of damage.
Added 60fps mode a Demon slayer
Also, with this update, a new 60fps mode has been added to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. In this mode, the controllable exploration and combat sections in Story mode and certain controllable sections in Versus offline mode will be playable at 60fps.
Along with these new playable demons and 60fps mode, more online missions have been added to the game for players to complete to earn Kimetsu Points and unlock new rewards, such as new phrases and profile photos. Be sure to download and install the latest update (v1.20) today to unlock all this great new content.
