Japan: A store reports low sales of canned coffee from Jujutsu Kaisen – Kudasai

On the Twitter account of Store Sankichi, a convenience store located in Sakata City in Yamagata Prefecture, an update was shared that went viral on comment forums in Japan. Β«Jujutsu Kaisen coffee cans weren’t selling at all, so I had to top them off. From 98 yen per can ($ 0.86) to just 29 yen (32 with tax) per unit ($ 0.28). At last stocks ran outΒ»The account wrote in its post.

These coffee cans are part of a collaboration between DyDo Drinco and the multimedia franchise of Jujutsu Kaisen. Users in the forums mentioned that it was inevitable not to compare this with the same collaboration that the company did with Kimetsu no Yaiba, which exceeded 100 million units sold until March 2021, and which ended up bailing out the canned coffee industry in the last year.

On the other hand, Gege Akutami began the publication of the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in March 2018. The play inspired an anime adaptation released during the Fall-2021 season (October-December) and which ended with a total of twenty-four episodes, produced by the studios. MAP under the direction of Seong-Hu Park and scripts written by Hiroshi Seko.

It should be remembered that the video game for smartphones Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will be available soon in the catalog of QooApp on this link.
