Although the anime of Jujutsu Kaisen observes a small break, the same cannot be said for Gege Akutami’s manga. The mangaka’s original work is progressing at a good pace, and a new battle has already begun. Several characters will be involved and one of the main interested parties was the center of attention in the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
It is obviously Yuta Okkotsu and the latter has a very clear objective.
The slaughter game has begun
During the Shibuya Incident arc, Satoru Gojo found himself trapped in the prison realm. Kenjaku took advantage of Gojo’s moment of inattention by appearing in front of him as his best friend Suguru Geto. Now a prisoner in another dimension, Gojo is no longer able to act. From now on, Kenjaku has the free field to accomplish his black drawings. To do this, he compels the exorcists to take part in the slaughter game.
Yuta Okkotsu stands alongside Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro to participate in this bloody game where exorcists clash. While Yuji and Megumi try to rally exorcists to their causes, Yuta becomes active within the colony of Sendai. He tries to collect points and the only way to get them is to eliminate exorcists who are not members of his team.
Yuta tries to learn more about the rules of the slaughter game and to get information about the fighters present in the colony. But that’s not all. His main objective is to uncover Kenjaku’s plans. In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Yuta was an insecure and inexperienced young man. But those days are over, as Yuta is now a seasoned fighter who rivals his mentor Gojo.
During the Hundred Demons Night Parade, Yuta had failed to end Suguru Geto’s days and it was up to Gojo to finish the job. It was one of the hardest decisions he had to make. With chapter 174, we learn that Yuta plans to add a new rule to be able to move from one colony to another. Moreover, he is determined to eliminate Kenjaku to save Gojo from having to kill his best friend again.
Do you think Yuta will be able to incapacitate the treacherous Kenjaku? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
