Jujutsu Kaisen was crowned as the most profitable manga franchise in Japan in 2021, surpassing others like Tokyo Revengers, Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer), Shingeki no Kyojin and My Hero Academia. According to the site data Oricon, has sold about 30,917,746 copies in a single year.
The information collected goes from November 23, 2020 to November 21, 2021 and, according to it, Jujutsu Kaisen surpassed Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) for just over 1.4 million copies sold. The popularity of both franchises is undeniable and this sales figure is proof of this.

Two of the three best-selling series are still in production and, both Jujutsu Kaisen What Tokyo Revengers, they continue to grow year after year.
On the other hand, of the five franchises on this list, four are already in their final arc or their main story has ended, so we may have a different top in 2022.

It is undeniable that the list was dominated by Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) and Jujutsu Kaisen in sales per volume, occupying 7 of the 10 places. However, one franchise that made it onto this list was One Piece, one of the longest running manga series in history.
