Jujutsu Kaisen Hypes Movie With New Sketch

Jujutsu Kaisen has yet to reveal when the anime will return for its second season, but given the popularity of the franchise, it’s safe to say that it’s only a matter of time before Yuji Itadori and friends do. return to the small screen thanks to Studio MAPPA. With the prequel film theatrically released in Japan last year in Jujutsu Kaisen 0North American theaters can expect the film to arrive in March, and the studio behind the film has revealed a new skit to help celebrate the film’s success via the franchise’s newest hero and villain.

Studio MAPPA’s latest film may not have the ability to overcome Demon Slayer: Mugen Train as for the box office draw, this latest Shonen movie made hundreds of millions of dollars during its theatrical run, but it doesn’t stop Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to seek to surpass Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, the former number one animated film. With the film not featuring Yuji Itadori in the driver’s seat, instead focusing on the wizard who preceded him in Yuta Okkotsu, the story becomes all the more tragic thanks in part to the horrific origin of the abilities. With the film on its way to theaters in North America, anime fans just have to wait a few weeks to immerse themselves in this supernatural new story.

Twitter user IDuckyx shared this new skit which is apparently a special gift for fans who go to the cinema in Japan to see Jujutsu Kaisen 0, focusing not only on the main hero of the new film, but also on the villain who should play a bigger role in the proceedings whenever the second season of Shonen decides to end:

The manga for Jujutsu Kaisen is still running through the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, following Yuji Itadori and his friends from Jujutsu Tech as they struggle through the challenges of the Culling Game Arc. Although creator Gege Akutami said he has an ending in mind for the series, there’s still plenty of material to cover for the anime adaptation.
