In the previous chapters of the series, Gege Akutami focused the story on Maki Zenin’s point of view as she was able to eliminate the Zenin clan thanks to the Limiters removed from her body after Mai’s sacrifice, although she will only be one of the female fighters who will be involved in the tournament, so Yuji and Megumi will need all possible help in the near future.

“Jujutsu Kaisen” picks up the manga’s story with Yuji and Meguni attempting to recruit a new ally: the anticipated presence of Kinji Hakari, who was a third-year Jujutsu Tech student whom Yuta Okkotsu has stated is much stronger than him, an introduction that could change the balance of powers in the plot.
