Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, Anticipated Mobile Adaptation Of Popular Anime, Opens Pre-registration In Japan

Sumzap and TOHO Games have finally released a trailer for the highly anticipated mobile game adaptation of the incredibly popular anime series. Jujutsu Kaisen, called Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade. This trailer is live alongside the opening of pre-registration for Japanese audiences.

For those not in the know, Jujutsu Kaisen is a huge anime hit and features a school of teenagers battling against an army of evil curses – demons manifested through a gathering of negative emotions. It features lots of high octane battles, lots of beautiful animations, and hugely beloved characters. Think of the modern version of something like naruto Where Bleach.

Details on Phantom Parade are sadly pretty light at the moment, as we’re not even sure what type of game it will be, even based on this trailer. The trailer features a few 2.5D shots of various characters from the series, but not too much beyond that, and the Google Play page only shows visual novel-like screenshots.

However, the only thing we have is a promotional screenshot that appears to be taken from an in-game battle and shows what appears to be a turn-based RPG, almost certainly a gacha game as well. Below, you can see some of the anime series’ favorite characters facing off against recognizable curses, with an attack button in the bottom right and characters with counters under their portraits in the bottom center. This all screams turn-based to me, but take that with a grain of salt.

Either way, given the scale of action shounen anime, Jujutsu Kaisen is one of those mobile games that will most likely explode in popularity. For now, this has only been confirmed for Japanese audiences, who can pre-register at google play at present. A whereabouts effort has not been confirmed but is expected.
