A new promotional video for the second season of the anime adaptation of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen of Gege Akutami was aired at the event Jump Festa 2023. Trailer Confirms Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Will Release In July 2023. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is titled “Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaigyoku and Gyokusetsu / Shibuya Incident Arc”.

Season 2 of the anime will consist of 2 consecutive courses (court refers to an anime season, which has a duration of 3 months). Although the episode count for Season 2 has yet to be officially announced, so fans can expect more than 20 episodes as the series will air for six months.
The new trailer focuses on the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu Arc (Stellar Plasma Vessel Arc)” and the first scene shows us the separation between Suguru Geto and Gojo, which was also teased at the end of the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0.

Jump Festa 2023 was also attended by the cast of Jujutsu Kaisen, and a special message was shared by author Gege Akutami. The author revealed that thestory will end in a year, however, it’s still unclear if Gege Akutami was talking about the ongoing arc or the manga itself. In a previous interview, published in 2021, Gege Akutami revealed that the manga will end in 2023.

Season 1 of the anime adapted the manga up to Chapter 63 of Volume 8. Season 1 ended on March 26, 2021 with episode 24. Season 2 will therefore adapt the Shibuya arc. The first trailer or first teaser has not been revealed contrary to what some had mentioned.

A prequel film titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” premiered in Japanese theaters on December 24, 2021.
It adapts as its name suggests the events of volume 0. The film is available on Crunchyroll in all countries of the world, except France, because of the continuity of the media.
Volume 0 is composed of 4 chapters which takes place before the events of volume 1 of the manga:
Chapter 0.1: The cursed
Chapter 0.2: Darker and darker
Chapter 0.3: Punishment for the Weak
Chapter 0.4: Dazzling Darkness
