While we are still in 2022, the new year is already looking just as bright, if not even brighter on the side of the japanimation industry. Many franchises have long announced that they will return to the limelight in 2023. And Jujutsu Kaisen is one of those famous franchises.
Confirmed for a few months, Mappa will have made fans languish for a long time before unveiling the trailer for season 2.
The return of the exorcists is imminent
Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, Kugisaki Nobara and of course Satoru Gojo will soon be back on the small screen for new adventures. After a sensational debut in 2021 in the world of anime, the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise has never ceased to panic the counters.
In the wake of the success of the animated adaptation, a very first feature film, entitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, came to add a layer. With fans barely recovering from all of his strong emotions, Mappa decides to return to the charge instead. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will undoubtedly release in 2023.
Suffice to say that it is obvious that the fans are already pumped up in view of this news. And to launch the propaganda as it should, Mappa has chosen this month of December, on the occasion of the Jump Festa, to share its first trailer. Here is presented below, the famous trailer of season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen:
Memories of a bygone era

As you just saw, the first Jujutsu Kaisen trailer features Satoru Gojo. And if you noticed, he sports a slightly different style of dress. But let’s go back to the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen first because there’s a lot to talk about.
This is particularly the case for manga readers who are undoubtedly excited to see how Mappa will animate the arc of “The Shibuya Incident”. But let’s not forget that it should be preceded by the “Gojo’s Past” arc. This is all the more visible when we see the trailer which presents a younger version of Gojo surrounded by his comrades and friends of the time.
We even see a very familiar face from the first season who today is in the opposite camp. This is of course Suguru Geto. As for the Gege Akutami manga, it is still ongoing and is currently centered around the slaughter game arc.
