Jujutsu Kaisen Sketch Captures The Power Of Sukuna

Sukuna is an interesting character in the Shonen supernatural series roster, Jujutsu Kaisen, not only because of his nefarious ways, but because this king of curses shares a body with the anime’s protagonist, Yuji Itadori. While next week will see the arrival of the series’ prequel film, one fan has honored the series and this creepy villain with a sketch that truly captures the menace of the cursed king who launched the series once Yuji ingested one of their fingers.

Yuji’s place in the halls of Jujutsu Tech was a direct result of him swallowing one of Sukuna’s fingers during a first encounter with a cursed being that roamed the floors of his home high school. With the wizards of the world giving Yuji the choice to enter Jujutsu Tech and continue to search for the extra fingers or die, Itadori is always on the verge of being killed when he eventually completes his task. Sukuna played a major role in the first season, but don’t expect to see much of the King of Curses in the upcoming prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0as a different protagonist who goes by Yuta Okkotsu takes the reins.

Reddit artist Rafdraft shared a video of themselves drawing the King of Curses who currently inhabits Yuji’s body, and allows Itadori to call upon some serious power as he continues his journey to Jujutsu Tech and encounters many supernatural beings on both sides of the aisle:

Earlier this year, Jujutsu Kaisen announced that a second season of Studio MAPPA is in the works, which should continue the adventure of Yuji and the company in 2023. While MAPPA is still working on the final attack on Titan and preparing to adapt the The long-awaited story of the chainsaw man, the animation studio certainly proves its worth when it comes to the number of projects it currently takes on.

Are you excited for the prequel’s entry into Jujutsu Kaisen which hits North American theaters next week on March 18? What is your most anticipated future project from Studio MAPPA?
