The fandom was waiting for a sign from the producers of Jujutsu Kaisen and they finally got it. Gege Akutami’s manga will indeed be entitled to a second season.
A pleasing ad
This February 12, during the screening of the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the producers of the anime took the opportunity to announce that a new season is already on its way. Itadori Yuji and the Exorcists are set to return in winter 2023. Said announcement was made with the participation of the seiyuu of Yuta Okkotsu, Rika Orimoto, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. In addition to having Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 confirmed, new art by Gege Akutami has been unveiled.

The Jujutsu Franchise kaisen
Created in 2017 by mangaka Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most successful franchises of its last years and the numbers prove it. The manga, which is still ongoing, already has over 60 million copies in circulation. In 2021, it simply became the best-selling manga in Japan. Its anime adaptation is also a great success and the same is true for its feature film. Jujutsu Kaisen follows the journey of Yuji Itadori, a young high school student with extraordinary physical abilities.
Following a series of very strange situations, Itadori becomes the host of Ryomen Sukuna, a scourge of incredible power. While the exorcists want to eliminate him before he becomes a threat, he is saved by Satoru Gojo who takes him under his wing. The movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a prequel that takes place a year before Yuji’s arrival and the protagonist Yuta Okkotsu finds himself in the same situation.
