My Hero Academia Just Hit a Manga Milestone

The next chapter of my hero academia will go live next week, but the series is still making headlines this week. As a new volume prepares to drop in Japan, a new report has surfaced detailing the sales of Kohei Horikoshi’s hit manga. Turns out quite a few have sold out since fans last heard and they’re all celebrating the manga’s massive milestone as January 2022 draws to a close.

The update comes directly from my hero academiaOfficial Twitter. The page confirmed that the manga has reached 65 million copies in circulation worldwide. Obviously, that’s a huge number, and this update has put my hero academia among some of the best sellers.

With 65 million manga copies in circulation, my hero academia beat series like Boys Over Flowers, Gin Tama, Inuyasha, Berserk, and more. It’s not far to overtake other big selling series like Rurouni Kenshin, Fairy Tail, Hunter x Hunter, and Fullmetal Alchemist hit the charts. But of course, Horikoshi has competition to watch out for.

After all, Jujutsu Kaisen climbs the charts, and it is only two places under my hero academia. The hit manga has 60 million copies in circulation, so it’s gaining Horikoshi despite Jujutsu Kaisen having made its debut four years after my hero academia. This recent surge is largely due to the anime’s debut, so my hero academia could get a boost in sales if season six impresses the fandom.

If you haven’t caught up my hero academia, you can do this quite easily. Manga Plus is home to the entire series, and Viz Media’s Digital Vault has exactly the same. You can catch up on the whole manga in a week if you read quickly, so you’ll all be caught up by the time the next Horikoshi chapter goes live.
