PUBG MOBILE × Dragon Ball Super: New Collaboration Announced!

PUBG MOBILE and Dragon Ball Super join forces for a new and first collaboration! After the unusual Fortnite x Dragon Ball Super, it’s the turn of the battle royale PUBG (acronym of PlayerUunknown’s BfightGrounds) to prepare the battlefield to accommodate the skins of Goku, Vegeta, and his friends. For now, we know absolutely nothing about the content of this new collaboration, apart from the fact that it will be released in 2023, according to the official visual. Plus, she could presumably revolve around the movie Dragon Ball Super SUPER HERO, since the official Twitter account of DB teases the event with the poster of the latest Dragon Ball Super movie. Unless it’s just a subliminal placement to remind people that the film is currently in theaters in various countries around the world.

PUBG is an Online Multiplayer Battle Royale video game developed and published by PUBG Studios. It was released in 2017 in paid format, then it became free-to-play in 2022. The game is also available on mobile (PUBG MOBILE) on iOS and Android, free since March 2018. It is a direct competitor to Fortnite, and the game has already spawned various collaborations.

We have already had collaborations with Evangelion, The Boys, Spiderman, or more recently this collab PUBG MOBILE x Jujutsu Kaisen, in early 2022 in the video below.

The example with Jujutsu Kaisen

To know what collaboration PUBG Dragon Ball Super could we book, let’s look at what was done in early 2022 with the game update to accommodate the contents of the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen. The operation was launched on February 16 for a duration of one month, for all players on Android and iOS devices.

The update included a slew of Jujutsu Kaisen content, including skins based on some of the series’ main characters, as well as crates, themed enemies, and other items. The costumes players could obtain for their character included Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisak, and Satoru Gojo. Players could collect them in-game for later use in matches.

Along with character costumes, players could also complete in-game challenges to acquire more items. A new themed Event Mode was also available, where players could search and collect Cursed Item Crates containing Sealed Sukuna Fingers. If you collected them all, you could get special skills and other rewards. One can imagine that the same thing will be implemented with the quest for 7 Dragon Balls.

Are you hot? Does a collaboration with PUBG interest you as much as the one with Fortnite, or on the contrary do you feel that it no longer makes sense? Opinions are open below in comments!
