Morbius with Jared Leto is in the lead at the end of the weekend, ahead of the adventure film with Sandra Bullock, The Secret of the Lost City, and The Batman with Robert Pattinson.
The first position for The Secret of the Lost City will not have lasted: barely out, Morbius dislodges Sandra Bullock and the adventure film of which she is the heroine. Morbius, a new Marvel production, is logically at the top of the American box office.
With a total of $39M according to the first estimates, it is nevertheless a much lower launch than Venom 1 ($80.3M) and 2 ($90M). Morbius is the only novelty to climb into the Top 10.
The Secret of the Lost City is on the 2nd step (with an additional $14.8 million raised), followed by The Batman which continues to federate. Its total is now at $349 million earned on American soil.
Uncharted with Tom Holland remains stable, holding onto his 4th place. He accumulates an additional $3.6 million. Stability also for Jujutsu Kaisen 0, still 5th. Last Week’s Surprise Bollywood Movie RRR (Rise Roar Revolt), is now 6th in the standings. He rakes in a little more than an additional $1.6 million. nothing stops Spider-Man: No Way Home which goes up one place this week, being 7th and now having a cumulative total of $802.7 million.
Among the other films present in the ranking, the horror feature film X continues its way, in 9th position. The story of X takes us to a remote farm in Texas, where a film crew arrives to make a pornographic film. Their hosts, an old reclusive couple, are particularly interested in their young guests. As night falls, the couple’s interest turns violent.
Finally, we also mention Everything Everywhere All at Once13th last week, is 10th this week: this still undated comedy in France notably brings together Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis.
