Chainsaw Man season 2
Prior to its release, Chainsaw Man was one of the most hyped anime seasons of all time, featuring a different singer for each episode’s ending. From the start, fans were concerned about the animation and voice acting, with some fans even starting a petition asking for the anime to be remade. Despite these issues, Mappa was able to deliver a strong anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man and now we’re looking forward to Season 2.
Will there be a season 2 of Chainsaw Man?
Although there has been no official announcement regarding Chainsaw Man season 2, it is highly likely that the series will receive a sequel. The first season ended as one of the highest rated anime of the season, and there is enough source material for the anime studio to produce a second season.
Whether or not a sequel to the anime is announced depends on several key factors, including ratings, manga, sales, and studio availability. Chainsaw Man has good ratings (8.81/10) and plenty of source material in the form of manga chapters, but its Blu-ray sales in Japan have been below average.
Additionally, the studio, Mappa, is currently working on several other projects, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2Hell’s Paradise , Vinland Saga Season 2I’Attack on Titan Season Finale Part.3 and the animated adaptation of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd. According to some rumors, Mappa would also be involved in the production of the One Punch Man season 3.
Given Mappa’s current workload, it’s unlikely they’ll start working on Chainsaw Man season 2 anytime soon. However, if they were to start production on the next season immediately, fans could expect it to release in January 2024. Animation studios usually take 12-18 months to produce a 12-episode series, therefore this calendar is in line with industry standards.

MAPPA would hire more animation staff to speed up production. This could potentially lead to a faster Chainsaw Man season 2 release. While there are no guarantees, fans can cross their fingers and hope for the best.
The manga after season 1
The latest episode of Chainsaw Man adapted chapters 35 to 38 of the manga series. Currently, the manga is ongoing and the last chapter released was Volume 12 Chapter 114. Hence, there is no shortage of manga chapters available to be adapted into an anime series.

Moreover, the manga is also serialized in English and can be read on official websites and purchased in physical tomes on Amazon.
