The Deku Smash added in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, alongside a range of My Hero Academia cosmetics behind the attack, was an incredibly powerful weapon that hasty players could use to demolish the opposition on the fly. skyward, charging a powerful blow and sending out a massive projectile that can easily fire at fully shielded players.
Whether or not the special weapon will return is a topic of discussion on the Fortnite Reddit, where the sudden removal of the smash from in-game challenges has convinced some that it will be gone for good.
Most of the discussion surrounding the removal of the gun revolves around whether or not it was right. While some were frustrated with the sheer power of the Deku Smash, others felt that the thrill of firing massive shockwaves outweighed their concerns about balance. One such user, Fizzsnork, wrote, “Loved the Deku Smash and loved dodging it. Honestly, I’m tired of whiners who can’t be bothered to change the way they play the game when a new weapon or vehicle is introduced. And Epic falls on them every time.
