‘My Hero Academia’: chronological order of the movies and seasons of the series

Her dream has come true, but what lies ahead is a lot (a lot) of hard work to become, as he says, the greatest superhero of all time.

After the end of the first season, there is a first OVA, ‘Save! Rescue Training! (Training of the Dead)’which lasts 22 minutes and serves as a bridge to the second season.

‘My Hero Academia’, season 2 (2017)

After the success of the first season, the second doubles its duration and increases the levels of action.

After episode 20, you should watch the second OVA, ‘Death Training (My Hero Academia Special)’, to broaden knowledge (lasts 22 minutes). Then we can see the remaining five episodes of the story.

After the end, we can see the third OVA, ‘All Might: Rising’, which only lasts four minutes and introduces us to an important aspect of the story: the battle between the seventh holder of One For All, Nana Shimura, against the villain All for One.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018) – Movie

Duration: 95 minutes

The first movie in the franchise was ‘My Hero Academia: Two Heroes’, and you have to see it after the end of the second season. Released in 2018, the film presents an adventure that takes place just after the final exam, during the summer season, and is far from the usual scenarios. Instead, we move to a floating, human-made, alien city that has been dubbed I Island. What seems like a quiet visit will turn into a new battle against the villains.

‘My Hero Academia’, season 3 (2018)

In this season 3 of ‘My Hero Academia’, Izuku Midoriya and his classmates they will have to fight for their survival in a brutal training camp, where they will have to save one of their companions. ‘My Hero Academia’, season 4 (2019)

Let’s go straight to season 4 of ‘My Hero Academia’, in which Izuku Midoriya and his classmates face the Shie Hassaikai group to prevent them from creating a drug capable of destroying the particularities, that is, the powers of superheroes. Meanwhile, as students, they will have to earn their license to be full-fledged heroes.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019) – Movie

Duration: 104 minutes

The events of the second ‘My Hero Academia’ movie come after the end of the fourth season. In the story, Izuku and the other students at UA School are sent to work as heroes on a warm island in southern Japan where they also find time to relax. However, that calm is soon disturbed by the appearance of a group of villains. The film introduces a new villain, named Nine, and he convinced the Review of ‘My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising’ in PHOTOGRAMS.

Right after this movie we can see the fourth OVA, ‘Boku no Hero Academia: Ikinokore! Kesshi no Survival Kunren’a little longer than the previous ones (46 minutes) and therefore more substantial in its content.

‘My Hero Academia’, season 5 (2021)

‘My Hero Academia’ Season 5 Follows Izuku Midoriya Dreaming of the Previous One For All Holders

during the Joint Training Battle. Meanwhile, the Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains battle in the city of Deika to determine how to become the most infamous villains. Later, the Hero Public Safety Commission orders a second Hero Work-Study for the students in preparation for the upcoming War.

My Hero Academia: World Hero Quest (2021) – Movie

Duration: 104 minutes

Third film in the franchise, following the events after the end of the fifth season. In this tape, released on Amazon Prime Video in Spain, Deku is persecuted by the police after being accused of mass murder. While he runs away and tries to clear his name, the rest of the superheroes have to deal with an incident that affects the whole world.

‘My Hero Academia’, season 6 (2022)

And we come to the end (for the moment, of course): Season 6 of ‘My Hero Academia’ is the most recent on the list, premiering in Japan in October 2022. In these new episodes, the main heroes, including Izuku Midoriya, must face a group of dangerous villains led by Tomura Shigaraki. Having gathered all the necessary information about their adversaries, in this season the protagonists prepare for the most complicated war of their lives.
