‘My Hero Academia: World Mission of Heroes’, the anime that has swept Japan, hits Spanish cinemas

The film, directed by Kenji Nagasaki, opens in our country this Friday, November 12. The first two seasons of the manga-based series are available on Netflix.

Manga series Kōhei Horikoshi My Hero Academia returns to the big screen with My Hero Academia: World Mission of Heroes. This Friday, 12th of November, the third film of the franchise lands on the Spanish billboards after My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. Before feature films, My Hero Academia went from paper to small screen in serial format. Its first two seasons -It has already a total of five deliveries and the sixth is on the way- are available in Netflix.

Directed by Kenji Nagasaki from a script by Yōsuke Kuroda, in My Hero Academia: World Mission of Heroes a mysterious criminal organization known as Humarise aims to destroy all gifted holders in the world. Humarise has hidden special bombs all over the planet and the only way to stop them is to select some heroes worldwide to fulfill the difficult task. Among those recruited for this mission are Deku, Bakugo and Todokori.

The problems escalate when, after an incident, Deku becomes the most wanted in all the distant country of Oseon. The protagonist and his companions They only have two hours to avoid a world catastrophe.

The film is produced by Bones, company behind two of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga adaptations. Also, Nagasaki is not new to the series. My Hero Academia, as it was also placed behind the cameras of the two previous film installments.

The highest grossing installment of the saga

At its premiere in Japan, My Hero Academia: World Mission of Heroes collection more than $ 29.3 million. To that figure we must add the $ 10.6 million that the film accumulated in other territories. In its first weekend in the cinemas of the Japanese country, the film grossed more than 8.51 million dollars, which placed it in the second position of the top box office, being only surpassed by Fast & Furious 9.

In the United States and Canada, My Hero Academia: World Mission of Heroes accumulated $ 6.4 million. These figures also made it one of the leading films of the weekend. The film was ranked fourth in the box office top below No time to die, the latest installment of Daniel Craig as James Bond.

With these numbers, My Hero Academia: World Mission of Heroes has become the highest grossing film of the franchise.
