Shirakumo, Yamada, and Aizawa were great friends when they were at UA.
Oboro Shirakumo was a UA Academy class 2-A student who was in full training to become a professional hero. He was in the same class as Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada, forming a great friendship with them.
Shirakumo was killed in a battle against a villain during his internship, after the villain died. all for one stole his body and turned him into a Nomu named Kurogiri, to take over the care of Tomura Shigaraki.
