Edward Elric holds his cyborg arm and smiles

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a perfect example of a sad anime with a very happy ending. Edward Elric is the main character, and he puts his life on the line to save his country while trying to recover his little brother’s body.

Alchemy is an ancient mystical art that uses science, and it is Edward’s main weapon. This allows him to manipulate and alter matter, which means his application is nearly limitless. Naruto isn’t a genius, but he’s still quite smart in battle, which is why he can fight powerful shinobi. Unlike Naruto however, Senku cannot use ninjutsu, meaning his intelligence can only take him so far.

Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan

Eren owns Warhammer, Attack, and Founding Titan, which means he can use his skin to create weapons and structures. He can also control other Titans. At full power, Eren can literally flatten all of humanity, but no Titan can stand against Naruto, especially if he’s in his massive Tailed Beast mode.

seven Yoh’s Shaman Powers Couldn’t Do Any Better (Shaman King)

Amidamaru is a 600 year old spirit and he is Yoh’s guardian ghost. He and Yoh essentially become one in battle, and they can use multiple techniques. These techniques work well against other shamans, but against ninjas close to Naruto’s level, Yoh would be unable to keep up with their speed and jutsu. Additionally, Naruto himself can take it out with a Rasengan.

Goblin Slayer pursues his prey

Elf Killer is a fairly mature series, but ultimately it tells the story of a silver-ranked adventurer who only cares about hunting goblins. He likes to work alone, but is usually accompanied by a priestess, a high elf archer, a lizard priest and a dwarf.

He’s a well-trained fighter and ranger with impressive stamina, and he’s a great strategist. Unfortunately, all of his combat expertise revolves around fighting goblins, and most of those skills wouldn’t help him in a fight against Naruto, or any other ninja above Genin level.

This also gives him access to previous hosts’ abilities. As a result, he can float, sense danger, create smoke screens, and manifest black tendrils.
