Fans of the Boruto anime are heartbroken after Kurama the Nine-Tailed Fox sacrificed his life to give Naruto a chance to fight Jigen. Of course, watching Naruto crush his opponent in Baryon Mode was pretty sick. However, not a single Naruto fan was ready to say goodbye to Kurama, who paid the price for Baryon Mode with his life.
Naruto and Kurama’s last punch was very emotional for the whole community. The episode also featured a surprise farewell for Kurama, which made everyone cry.

Will Kurama come back to life?
Unfortunately, there is no hint of Kurama returning to life in the Boruto manga series as of this writing. So it’s safe to say that this is also the case in the anime.
In the manga, Kurama died in chapter 55, and episode 219 adapted 11 pages from the same chapter. Currently, the manga series has released 62 chapters, and a new chapter will be released later this month. And much to everyone’s disappointment, there’s no question of reviving Kurama in the manga, at least for now.

What are the chances of seeing Kurama come back to life?
Of course, it’s too early to rule out that possibility, but honestly, the chances of Kurama coming back to life are very slim. Usually, when a Jinchuuriki’s Biju is mined, the Jinchuuriki also dies; however, in Naruto’s case, Kurama’s Chakra simply vanished, which is why Naruto survived this ordeal.
Baryon Mode, as the Nine-Tailed Fox himself explains, ate Kurama’s chakra, the life force. So, in order for Kurama to come back, he has to have some of his chakra left. However, if that was the case, Naruto would have felt his Chakra, which he has not done so far. Nevertheless, the Boruto manga is still in progress, so anything is possible. Perhaps Ukyō Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto will bring the Nine-Tailed Beast back when the manga enters its final phase.
